Challenge

EPPSA, the European Power Plant Suppliers Association (EPPSA) was the voice at the European level of companies supplying power plants, components and services, gathering members from all over Europe and represent a sector with more than 100,000 employees. The reduction of the selection of thermal power plants and the seamless improvement in energy technologies and the implementation of the energy transition brought the association towards a serious reflection on a new vision and a new identity to face the current challenges.

Solution

CLERENS took charge of the complete re-branding of the association. A market survey of the EU associations’ framework and an analysis of the latest trends of the energy sectors lead to the presentation of a new name, a new logo, a new visual identity and a brand new concept: the Clean Energy Hubs. This concept built on existing industry and commercial power generation and showed how existing assets could be re-purposed. The re-branding event was held in May 2018 in Brussels, with the participation of representatives of the European Parliament, the European Commission and the leading stakeholders of the industry and energy sector.

Result

As a result, a new association is born: Energy Technologies Europe, the European association representing technology providers of state-of-the-art solutions for energy conversion technologies, their components and other related energy services. Thanks to the development of the Clean Energy Hubs concept, the association is now a committed actor of the energy transition promoting awareness on solutions to achieve a decarbonised society.
